Favorite Summer Items For Epilepsy Bad Days

Summer + Epilepsy  sometimes equals triggers. How can one thrive during the brightest season of the year? Below are some favorite items to make the season better.

  • Coloring books. A set of markers and calming patterns help make the season less stressful.
  • Audiobooks. A favorite way to pass the time outdoors or indoors. Sometimes, the kitties like to sit and listen too! Narration by Lynn Thigpen is a favorite for Ebbie, Sunnie Rae, and Denzie.
  • Puzzles. Rainy days go faster when doing a jigsaw puzzle. 500-1000 piece ones are fun!
  • A personal favorite is the little artist one.
  • Books. Sitting out on a futon and catching up on a favorite read.
  • Junk Journaling. Collecting bits of travel and adventures, then placing each in a scrapbook. It is an awesome artsy project to do!
  • Walking. A relaxing hobby to clear the head.
  • Road Trips. If possible, play tourist and check out the local sights.
